Perfect for beginner chefs! We like to pair this with the story, The Very Hungry Caterpillar - allowing us to talk about days of the week, counting, healthy eating, and appropriate portion sizes.

WHAT YOU NEED

1 container cream cheese
round snack crackers
raisins
chow mien noodles
celery sticks
knot pretzels
lettuce (optional)

HOW TO MAKE IT

1. Assemble all ingredients in bowls on a table or counter workspace.

2. Use a paper plate or paper towel for your work area.

3. Tear up the lettuce and sprinkle on the plate (this will be the "bed" for your treats!).

4. Put your creativity hat on!

5. Caterpillar Treats:

-Spread cream cheese on each of 5 snack crackers.
-Lay 4 crackers cream side up together so they overlap and form a caterpillar shape.
-Place 5th cracker cream side down on end (this will be the caterpillar "head").
-Use raisins to make a face and noodles to create legs and antennae (use extra cream cheese as glue).

6. Butterfly Treats:

-Spread cream cheese on a celery stick to serve as the butterfly's body.
-Adhere one knot pretzel to each side of the celery for wings.
-Use raisins for eyes and noodles for antennae.
